The balloon races are my favorite beginning of fall activity. This was Parker's first trip to Forest Park for the event. My Aunt Stacey, Dave, his son and family, Brandi and Sydney had set up a great picnic area so we set up with them and had a nice and relaxing day at the park. Parker didn't have a clue what was going on around him, but he enjoyed playing and people watching.
The Energizer balloon didn't launch as the hare balloon this year, instead, the Macy's balloon was first. The delay caused the majority of balloons to launch near 6pm. As we walked back to the car we noticed quite a few of the balloons had actually already landed and packed up still in the park. Oh well, at least we saw them all launch.
